The Science Museum is 100 years old. The Internet is apparently 40. Last night we saw Sir Tim Berners-Lee talk about what he had in mind ‘when he invented the web’. And the future possibilites of a web completely infused with linked data - apparently he’d got the audience at Ted chanting ‘Raw Data Now!’ the last time he spoke about this. The Science Museum crowd were slightly more reserved.

Next week, the guy that first had the idea for football.

If you happened to be in Pizza Express Euston recently and your American Hot happened to be produced even more strategically than usual, here’s why: Frida and Lou.

Exhibiting prowess at the door, on the floor and the pizziola counter, the lovely Club femmes touched base with our favourite Restaurateur Client (and literally, they literally touched some base).

If this was the scouts, they’d be sporting doughball badges as the rest of us looked on with wide-eyed admiration.

The awesome Sidekick Studios robot arrived last week. It was promised it would transcribe the thoughts of the youth far and wide.

Intrigued by anything remotely electric, the chumps at the Club have been flocking to the corner of the studio to see what new whizzing and whirring sounds the ‘bot would make - determined not to miss the inaugural brush strokes.

And after a week of engeneering tweaks it finally blurted out its first words…

We’re so proud. :)

To celebrate our second birthday we broke out the yachts. With enough sun to keep our shoulders rosey and enough wind to fill our sails, we’re now two for two in the perfect-party-weather department. With the abyss abaft, we punctuated our trajectory from Southampton to Cowes with tackin’, jibin’ and hollerin’ and -natuarally- we did it in theme. Please refer to the visual aid to see what happens when chumps go boating or throw a sailors eye over the rest of our snaps up in bookface.

Movers, shakers, Little Boots and some chump skaters. We descended on this years Skate Almighty with all the fluro ferocity of popular 80s frontman Mike Score. It was love on wheels, exactly like in popular film Roller Boogie starring Lynda Blair.

High-fives to the Nokia gang for the hyper-lolz.

Sushi Club

Tomoko Kawasaki is not only our design-intern and owner of the agency’s favourite motorcycle themed name, but she is also a mean sushi chef (unlike that freelancer we occasionally use, Nigel Harley-Davidson, his sashimi is awful).

Nigirizushi, makizushi, narezushi, whatever. You name it, Tomoko will have that shizz wasabied up and in your chop sticks before you can say MAKIYAKINABE! (that’s ‘rectangular omlette pan’ to you Westerners).

With the help of a couple of “Long-Time-Eaters, First-Time-Rollers” Tomoko turned the club into an enormous bento box, much to our culinary delight.

However, we did neglect to wash down said awesome sushi lunch with this.

Our Very Own Rockin' Roller Girl

Just so we’re all aware, Roller Derby is a full contact, all female sport. And one more time from the same hymn sheet, our Jo - creative services manager extraordinaire - plays for the The London Rockin’ Rollers.

They took on and trashed the Royal Windsor Roller Girls this Saturday in their second home bout in York Hall, Bethnal Green. Various club members (including a couple of Franco-Hibernian, new roller girl recruits) roared on in support from the sidelines.

Nobody in the club is allowed to play a sport or anything else of that nature without roaring support from the rest of us, but ‘Sideshow Ho 808’ is our very first Roller Derby champ. Watch out for word on the next bout this coming September. Hot.
